Overheard

"Sorry I was late for my appointment.  I got stopped for speeding, but it turned out ok 'cos the cop gave me a citation!"

"So you got a speeding ticket on the way here?"

"No, it was a citation! I guess he thought I was driving ok, even if I was going fast."

"Citation means ticket."

"No, it doesn't, see??" while pulling ticket from his pocket.

"It's a ticket. Right here it tells you to pay the fine or go to court."

"That rotten bas....! He said it was a citation!"
