That means that 10% of the people have 90% of the talent. Unfortunately, we are not in the 10% category. However, the rest of us are still better than 90% of the politicians.

Congressman Tim Griffin

A few weeks ago I wrote to Tim Griffin to express my concern about a vote of his. I had given up on hearing anything, but today received a thoughtful email that addressed the issue I had written about. While I appreciate the response, there was a line in the email that has been bothering me ever since I read it.

In it he states, "My most basic duty is to protect my constituents and all Americans from harm. "

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't see that as part of his job description.
