Proud members of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. We strongly believe in personal freedom, responsibility, and gun rights. We also believe in the 90/10 theory. That means that 10% of the people have 90% of the talent. Unfortunately, we are not in the 10% category. However, the rest of us are still better than 90% of the politicians.

Israel, 1967, Another View

Bookworm Room has an article about 1967 Israel that amply illustrates the changes in this country in the intervening years. Not merely in the attitude toward Israel but in general, even though the article is specifically about Israel.

When Herman Cain was interviewed* on Fox News Sunday he was asked about the so-called Palestinians "right of return" and in asking the question Chris Wallace phrased it "the people who were kicked out of the land in 1948" which is an obvious change in reporting since 1967. Noted in the 1967 article was this; "Israelis tried to induce the Arabs to stay. For this reason, the Israelis do not now accept responsibility for the Arab exodus." Nothing about being "kicked out" there.

*The excerpted part of the Herman Cain interview is only the section about the "right of return". If you haven't seen it all and want to, go here.
