Was walking through the living room and news was on the TV. The talking heads were discussing the Israeli response to the latest Hamas rocket attack on a school bus. One of the reporters announced that Israel is responding more strongly as they have decided to not be so tolerant of the harassment.
Harassment. Shooting rockets at innocent civilians and school buses that until moments before had been filled with children is harassment.
Israel has been far more restrained than I would have been had I been in charge. Schools, school buses, as far as I am concerned there are no places more sacred than the places where children are grouped and the perpetrators and those who support them and allow this to go on around them should be subject to the strongest reprisals Israel can manage.
Richard Goldstone has much to answer for to the Israelis. He has recanted his report, saying "We know a lot more now", however, I contend that he must have had his cranium buried so far up his rectum that the sphincter was cutting off all the air to have written the report as it was originally. There are people in this world who do not acknowledge or accept what is in front of their faces, but they know. Goldstone seems to be one of them. While I'm glad he has recanted, that will not undo the incredible damage he inflicted.
Aaron at The Shekel has a post about the rocket attack and the honest reporting that goes on around these attacks. Read the links there, too.
