Proud members of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. We strongly believe in personal freedom, responsibility, and gun rights. We also believe in the 90/10 theory. That means that 10% of the people have 90% of the talent. Unfortunately, we are not in the 10% category. However, the rest of us are still better than 90% of the politicians.

Live with barbarians? Not so much.

In discussion today someone said that events like the Koran burning are likely to cause us to end up at war with the entire Religion of Peace and High Explosives rather than simply the most radical of its adherents. Humph. That most Muslims are peaceful and just want to get along is an ongoing delusion that will see all of us under the rule of sharia if we do not begin to challenge that assumption. The fundamental tenets espoused by the Koran are completely antithetical to modern civilization. When Muslims are referred to as savages and barbarians it is not hyperbole, people who live by an ideology that was barbaric even for its time are barbarians. We are at war with Islam.

The idea that we can live side by side in multicultural nirvana is a misapprehension, proven by the reaction of Lindsay Graham and Harry Reid to the recent riots in Afghanistan tertiary to incitement by the mullahs secondary to Hamid Karzai announcing the burning of a Koran by a fundamentalist preacher. Apparently they feel that we have too much freedom and speech needs to be curtailed in this country to appease a bunch of 6th century savages. To Mssrs. Reid and Graham I say kiss my lily white heinie. I will not give up one iota of the freedoms guaranteed in my Constitution to assuage anyone, much less a mob of troglodytes. It is one of my greatest hopes that your constituents are aware of your willingness to dismantle the very foundation of this nation and will soon consign you to the trash bin of history. A recall election could not be too soon.

This is not in any way to imply that I have a good opinion of Rev. Terry Jones. But he is a free citizen of a free country and with all that goodness available occasionally an imbecile is going to take advantage of it. Doesn't mean that the rest of the citizenry endorses that behavior or that the system should be changed. Just means he is an imbecile.

  1. The second that our "representatives" make burning a book illegal is the second that I'll go out and start burning books.

  2. I'd be more inclined to burn representatives. Or at least tar and feather. Hot tar.
