A lovely new fountain was turned off by a city in CT due to the -literally- piss poor conduct of the some of the citizens it was meant to provide with pleasure.
As is now the usual, rather than deal with the miscreants the city made the decision to punish everyone by turning the fountain off and taking away the fun for everyone.
Am I the only one who thinks actions should have consequences? Immediate, unpleasant, and directed solely at the perpetrator of the action. Stop with the collective punishment already and deal with the person(s) who actually caused the problem. And let's not drag it through the legal system until they're old and gray, ok? If they can't remember why they're being punished it defeats the purpose.
