Jo-Ann replies to second email

Dear -,
Thank you for contacting Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores Customer Service. We apologize for our delay in responding.
Thank you for contacting us about the prohibition against concealed weapons and the sign posted at our Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store. After thoughtful consideration, Jo-Ann decided to post the signs to create a comfortable shopping environment and experience for our customers. Jo-Ann recognizes that there are strong feelings on this issue, and that permit-holders are exercising their state right. Jo-Ann also is exercising its right under state law to post the sign. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
You may contact Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores Customer Service via phone at 1-888-739-4120, Monday through Saturday, 9 am - 7 pm Eastern Time.
Thank you,

And my response;

Thank you for your answer.  It is your business and right to make such a decision, and my right to choose to shop elsewhere.  I have just one more comment, which is that concealed means just exactly that.  How would one customer carrying something that the other customers were completely unaware of affect their shopping experience?  On the other hand, not being able to exercise a right does affect the comfort and experience of those licensed for concealed carry, who are aware of the slight.

  1. Seems like a huge formed response on their part. They make me want to throw a tantrum. Ugggg..... It is one thing maybe to ask for no open carry as a consideration for comfort (Though honestly even that strikes me as so uninformed, but we can't convert everyone right?) but concealed is exactly that. I will be interested in what they respond back with.

  2. I know. It amazes me that they worry about discomfiting someone who likely isn't even aware that others carry, but don't mind making uncomfortable someone who not only would have to disarm, but are very aware of being disarmed in a place with a sign on the door announcing that fact to those who don't care about obeying the law.
