But they're illegal

I thought guns were illegal in the UK.  And yet West Midlands PD has confiscated quite a few in the last year, even a homemade one.  Fancy that.  The best line in the article was:

But each gun can be dangerous when in the wrong hands and we need to continually remind people of that fact.
Can be dangerous in the wrong hands.  Good on him, he recognizes that guns themselves are not the problem.
